This design was done while at Ian Ritchie Architects in London, in collaboration with structural engineer Peter Rice. The bridge forms are developed as a map of the forces within the bridge, and fin contours follow the contours of structural forces within the material. The glass side galleries use an innovative application of a glass to glass adhesive connection, with recycled industrial materials used for bridge decks. The Reina Sophia project was a collaboration between Ian Ritchie Architects and Peter Rice studio of the same period as the Ecology Gallery in which Kroeker had a minor role.
